Good morning fellow Scrappers! It’s Monday!
Wooooo hoooo! It’s Monday and that means it is time for Meaningful Monday! I wish we could do a audio lead in here – it would sound something like “Heeeeeeerrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee’s Meaningful Monday!” Sort of like the intro for Johnny Carson. Yes I am dating myself. Okay on to Meaningful Monday.
A week or so ago I was looking at the different scrap mags at Walmart and found this really great book to inspire journaling about ourselves and our family titled “Scrapbook Shortcuts with Quizzes and Questions” by Simple Scrapbooks. I am so loving this book – it has 25 lists of questions that scrap everything from the little details of our day-to-day lives to the big pictures things like our hopes and dreams. It even has several quizzes for us to give to our children! Eventually I want to do all 25 lists because each one of them is spectacular and will provide my kids with great meaningful and some not so meaningful information about our family and myself. I hope this doesn’t sound egotistical because it is so not meant that way. It amazes me how much I admire the older women in my family yet how little I know about them. Recently Aidan (my oldest) asked what was my Grandmother’s favorite color – I couldn’t answer and I felt bad. So, with this book in hand, I can provide a record of these things for my family.
So between all of my ramblings, have you figured out what we are going to do for today’s Meaningful Monday? That’s right, we are going to scrap one of these lists! This will give you a great peak into the book and create a fun layout about yourself without all of the pressure to create something meaningful and deep. This is the first list in the book and it is called “Slice of Life.” The questions are here:
